Microsoft has fixed the Windows 11 KB5121003 restart and crash bug – and it wasn't the update itself. Investigation confirmed RGB control apps installing drivers like inpoutx64 were crashing games. Fix: Microsoft is now blocking inpoutx64 from loading. The block is rolling out automatically to non-managed consumer and business PCs where the driver is enabled and ARC Raiders is installed, with MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls next. THE FINALS fix already handled by Embark. You'll see a message when the driver is disabled, then the game should launch normally. Restart required, can take 24h to reach all PCs, and will be included in September Patch Tuesday. Workaround for IT/managed devices: Registry Editor to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\inpoutx64, change Start to 4, restart. Backup registry first – RGB controls may stop working. Change back to restore.
